Baha’i Faith & an Awakened World

Presenter/Facilitator - Diane Robinson Kerr & Louis Offstein

The Baha’is Faith is based on the Teachings of Baha’u’llah (pronounced Ba-ha-o-lah), the Prophet Founder of the Baha’i Faith (1817-1892).  It's main purpose is to create a world of peace as promised by God in His Holy Books. Baha’u’llah gave new social teachings which are intended for today's world, to help us achieve peace on earth.  He has given us guidance which He states will be a model and pattern for future world governance. Baha’u’llah claims to be the latest Prophet sent by and promised by God, with the purpose of uniting all peoples under one God so that peace can be achieved in a united and loving way.

We will share some insights from the teachings of the Baha’i Faith and then provide time for break-out sessions for discussion on how these new teachings might be of benefit in our own lives and how they can help us individually contribute to a better world.

Diane Robinson Kerr has a background in counseling, psychotherapy and group facilitation. Diane finds that the Baha’i Teachings provide profound guidance as we all work to establish a united world that honors diversity.

Louis Offstein became a Baha’i in 1985 from a Jewish background. He has spent most of his career in the business world running his own data processing firm. Louis finds that the Baha’i Teachings give him great peace in his life, as well as, hope and belief in the future of the world.  Louis frequently participates at MAGNT meetings.

MAGNT, the Minnesota chapter of the Association for Global New Thought, offers activities to expand consciousness. Its purpose is to inspire, inform and empower people to create an awakened world. MAGNT is supported by local Unity churches and Centers for Spiritual Living.
